ECU remapping involves extracting the factory software from the vehicle using a remapping tool like KessV2, Ktag or auto-tuner to name a few. These tools can communicate with the vehicle via the OBD port (Onboard Diagnostics Port) or with a direct connection some times referred to as the bench method (ECU removal). This is the first step in the process. Once we have read off the factory software, we can make our adjustments. This involves changing parameters like boost pressure, fuel pressure and torque limiters. After these adjustments have been made, we install our custom made file back onto to your vehicle. We then proceed to test drive the car to insure the adjustments made have taken and to check for clutch slip if it is a manual. You can now enjoy your cars new found performance and economy.
